About this Style Here I am, representing 'Moth's Wings' by Passion Pit for the Style File music contest. How did the song you chose inspire you to make this avatar? I went through a bit an obsession with this song before. To me, Moth's Wings is a song about letting go and embracing the new - thus I chose an ethereal look for my avatar, also pinpointing the various references to nature to bring together the colours and themes. I chose a light palette which echoed the dreamy feel, yet chose to focus on a rather 'harsh' looking head area to echo the sombre beginning and confused messages throughout. The textures - particularly the swirls, are repeated throughout the HA to mirror the distorted sound, particularly in the vocals. Tags: sfMusic, sr |
