About this Style This is my entry for the Artistic Inspiration contest. I chose the Monet painting as my inspiration.  How did the work of art you chose inspire you to make this avatar? The color pallet of the Monet piece inspired my avvie, as well as the painting itself and other works by Monet. I tried to choose a background that looks drawn or sketched, like the Miss Jolly Used Chalks. I also think the Whirlpool Kilt looks like brushstrokes, as well as the bodice of the Verdure Dress. I made my avatar the artist of the background/world in which she stands, hence the paintbrush in her hand as though she has just put the finishing touches on the greens of her canvas. The Enchanted Water Lily she is wearing is an homage to Claude Monet's many water lily paintings. Tags: contest, Monet, sfArt |
