About this Style  I chose this painting for my inspiration. It just caught my eye immediately. The colors are so vvid and so smooth and just drew me in. The look on the woman's face looks so serene, and it made me think she was weaving a fantasy in her mind of a fantastical world. This idea was reinforced by the shocking colors and the funky patterns. The pattern on her neck makes me think of fish scales and the winged blue clip behind her ear seems contrary to the style of her face (which has a more classic painting feel to me). I tried to create something similar. I used these eyes to create a facial expression of whistfulness and a sort of hopeless dreaming. I also tried to create a very plain outfit, with elements of the outrageous and unreal. Tags: sfart, shameless |
