It feels like it’s supposed to be a really gorgeous song, but it got warped somewhere along the way – twisting from what I ended up feeling was an abusive relationship. From that I created an HA that would feel like it was supposed to be beautiful, but that was off in a way. Bruised, faded, and tattered from the abuse she’s suffered; “missing pieces” as the song relates so strongly to. The colors came from the imagery of “cold silence” (ice blue and creme) as well as the “mildewed and smoldering” (dulled reds and browns). Might be silly, but I like to think that the song would play as she waltzes alone. The music's edgy, but flowy like a waltz so yeah... /dork Tags: August 2010, sfMusic |
