About this Style "I dream of lakes" is the title of my avatar in English. How did the work of art you chose inspire you to make this avatar? My attention was immediately drawn to this Claude Monet painting. Monet is one of my favorite artists of all time (I am an artist myself). The "dreamlike" and "hazy" colors made me think of lakes; it was reminiscent of Swan Lake. I chose light colors and shades of blue to reflect the vast palette of the sea greens that he had used. Everything in the picture had a cloudy and hypnagogic feel to it, so I decided incorporate swirls and spirals. The faded turquoise- purplish blue colors in the wig came from the color of one of the bushes in the middle right section. I also tried to mirror the reflection of the lake by mimicking the swirling patterns in the hair with the design of the shoes.
